About the Organization

SBI Foundation (SBIF) was incorporated to bring all the CSR activities of State Bank Group under one umbrella and contribute to the efforts made by the State Bank Group to support and uplift the underprivileged sections of society. About the Proposal

Project ‘SBI Sammaan’ and its Objectives:

SBI Foundation partners with reputed implementing agencies for carrying out various need - based developmental activities like upgradation of the Schools, Anganwadis, Health Centres etc., providing other basic facilities like drinking water, installation of solar streetlight in the identified villages.

SBI Foundation seeks to engage non-profit organisations for implementing project ‘SBI Sammaan’ aimed at implementation of developmental activities in the two project villages in Unnao District, Uttar Pradesh are:

  • Badarka, Sikandarpur, Karan, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh
  • Gadha, Kola, Purwa, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite potential grantees with a prove n track record to implement project in rural development theme in the above locations.

SBI Foundation hereby invites proposals from eligible agencies (NGOs/NPOs) for implementation of ‘SBI Sammaan’ project in Badarka and Gadha Kola villages in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh. The budget for the proposal should be up to 1.00 Crore for a period of 1 year for one project location. Agencies to apply for only one project location from the provided list.

Details of the proposed activities: SBI Foundation aims to implement need-based rural developmental activities in proposed project villages. The detailed activities to be taken in the consideration are as below;

Education

School infrastructure development: Renovation of classrooms, library, kitchen, drinking water, clean toilets, Girls’ room etc.

  • Ed-tech facilities: Smart class, Computer lab, science labs, etc.
  • Solar electrification of the Schools
  • Playground development & Installation of open gym etc.
  • Facelift of Anganwadi Centres & providing basic facilities

Water & Sanitation

  • Provide water filters for safe drinking water
  • Toilets at community buildings, bus stands, market etc
  • Waste management: Dustbins, Waste collection E-vehicle etc

Youth Development

  • Youth centre, with dedicated trainings (theoretical and physical) for youth aspiring for military, police, & similar job roles

General Infrastructure

  • Basic infrastructures: Health centre upgradation, Solar Street lights, Bus shelters, meeting platforms, Market sheds, benches etc
  • Memorial/ park development, Wall of Pride, pond rejuvenation, etc
  • Community Information centre for providing basic online services

Other Welfare activities

  • Providing Scholarships & Awards (literary/ bravery awards to youth)
  • Cycles, assistive devices to PWDs etc.
  • Self-defence training for Girls & skill trainings for rural women

Eligibility

The evaluation of the agencies shall be done by the competent authority on following parameters:

Project Proposal

  • Alignment with ‘SBI Sammaan’ project objectives.
  • Clear and concise detailing of the proposed solution, implementation plan and outcomes.
  • Innovation in the project.
  • Risk-mitigation measures.
  • Comprehensiveness of the Log frame & Project timelines.
  • Project Monitoring & Evaluation Process.
  • Proportion of admin and overheads costs, in comparison to the total project budget.
  • Project exit strategy & sustainability of the solution.

Experience

  • The agency should have a minimum 10 years of existence on the date of publication of this RFP.
  • The agency must be either registered in the State of Uttar Pradesh or have its headquarter located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, besides having a strong operational presence across the State.
  • The agencies having demonstrated capability to improve measurable outcomes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the intervention will be preferred.
  • The agency must have an in-house team for project implementation, with 5 or more permanent employees.
  • Preference to be given to agencies who have experience in implementing integrated / holistic village development projects.
