Job Description
Villgro Healthcare supports social enterprises working to make healthcare more affordable and accessible, especially for underserved communities.
- We're hiring an Analyst for our healthcare team — ideal for early-career professionals eager to gain hands-on experience in healthcare program implementation, innovation and commercialization. On-ground experience is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is key.
- The role involves expanding healthcare access through a Community Health Entrepreneur (CHE) model, working with health-tech innovators and CHEs to drive adoption, and supporting health workers to become entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of community health programs in rural and semi urban areas, working directly with CHEs and local partners. This includes assisting in the design, piloting, and scaling of community health models.
- Support the identification, training, and capacity building of community health entrepreneurs to deliver health services based on the specific health needs of their communities.
- Work closely with the implementing organization and stakeholders to support healthcare delivery through CHEs, compile and analyze program data, and use insights to strengthen program implementation.
- Conduct field visits with CHEs to assess current screening fees charged in the area, test pricing models, and optimize community engagement strategies. Help CHEs transition from volunteers to micro-entrepreneurs providing essential health services.
- Experiment with and evaluate adoption strategies for healthcare innovations in real-world settings; customize based on geography, community preferences, and price sensitivity.
- Coordinate the execution of baseline, midline, and endline assessments to evaluate the program's effectiveness.
- Develop collaterals on health awareness, disease prevention in local languages
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Identify and onboard promising healthcare innovations—especially point-ofcare diagnostic and screening solutions—based on insights from the baseline assessment.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops,, and meetings with stakeholders, including community members, healthcare providers, donors, and partners.
- Work on commercialization initiatives by helping match healthcare innovations with market opportunities (such as hospitals and clinics) and supporting the development of business models for new healthcare solutions.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Masters or bachelor’s with relevant experience are welcome. Great fit for early-career professionals seeking hands-on exposure. Interest in healthcare innovation and tech adoption in communities is essential.
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, operational roles, that involved handling on the ground implementation and coordination with stakeholders.
- Prior experience or exposure to sectors such as social entrepreneurship or public health programs.
- Comfort with data collection and basic analysis is required; exposure to business models is a plus.
- High level of initiative and ownership.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across implementing partners, startups, and institutions
