Job Description: Project Manager - Communication  

Location: Remote

Scope of the Position:

• Advance Donor’s brand in India as an authentic, credible partner to India in support of an Indian pathway that decouples growth from emissions and of becoming the first major economy to industrialize without carbonizing.
• Contributes to internal and external content production for the project and across the organizational portfolio.
• Leading and/or feeding into the work of different units of the project team and of the organization.
• Emphasis on ensuring that the project/organization shares its inspiring story with clarity and consistency.
• Celebrate Indian success stories (individual, project, and organization) as lighthouses to inspire and inform climate action within India, and beyond.
• Audience
  • Stakeholders:  Govt departments & above levels + key stakeholders in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and other states
  • Partnership stockholders: NGOs and others
  • Fundraising stakeholders: HNI Indian finance professionals + Diaspora (especially in the US)
  • Influence and negotiate with a wide range of people regularly.

Employment: Term hire – 2 years

Scope of Work:

• To generate brand awareness and meet business objectives through digital and social media communication.
• To analyze, strategize, and implement effective online communications on all social media channels. Also, to design and implement offline content for events and partnerships.
• To ensure all content is verified and aligned to the organizational goals and brand values, and further to ensure that there will be no content developed or shared that goes against India’s position or policies, and instead is a forward-looking, supportive, and constructive tone of all communication.
• Provide support and advice to program teams on functions to develop social media, digital communication, and internal communications.
• To liaise with Donor program teams to source relevant content.
• To work with Project Lead and Communications and serve as a one-point contact for all social media-related strategies, content, analytics, and results.
• To suggest and research the latest trends, tools, and campaigns in the digital space
• Ensuring regular updates on the website and social media, and writing for the organization’s social media profiles.
• To work progressively with the digital team in developing a dynamic social media identity for the organization and the Donor brand.
• To develop content for the Project's annual report.

Note: Content developed and shared by the Project Manager should not contradict the organizational and the Government of India’s policies.

• Visual and text stories from different programs in India
• Social media updates across handles
• Content and communications around knowledge products and advocacy meetings
• Cater to Internal communication requirements

Reports to: Project Lead, SDS.
