Job Description
The Financial Analyst will be responsible to support all programs for TechnoServe’s India operations. The position will report to the Financial Controller. The role would contribute majorly to support on financial budgets and spends for new and existing programs.
Job Responsibilities
Project Financial Management and Reporting
- Work with the Financial Controller to monitor and review field budget, execution burn rate, effective forward spend strategy for all India programs.
- Responsible for reviewing financial management (budget versus spends including sub-grants, taxes, direct charging), and monitoring financial close-out of al projects. Coordination with HQ.
- Coordinate with the grants and contracts team for managing pre award donor contractual documentation, budgets, review, compliance and formalities along with Financial Controller on finance aspects and with Head Human Resource on resource planning before rollout to stakeholders.
Program Management:
- Arrange kickoff meeting at start of new projects
- Support the India Country Director and Program Directors, coordinate with Project Managers to develop work plans, project budgets and staffing plans to help plan rollout during start-up phase
Program Development support – Costing & Budgeting
- Support India Program Development team on cost proposals and budgets
- Lead the development of program budgets to be submitted to donors for all new funding opportunities.
- Ensure the new program budgets are vetted with the Financial Controller on financial aspects and with Head HR on resource planning before rollout to stakeholders.
- Ensure that all proposals meet the documentation, due diligence, and compliance requirements of the donor.
- Provide inputs on areas such as proposal management as and when needed
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 4-7 years of finance, project costing, financial & business analysis, budgeting, value chain financing and enterprise development
- Understanding of various kind of financial reporting, MIS, data management, project / proposal management
- Good experience of financial modelling and ratio analysis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Qualification: Graduate/Post-Graduate in Accounting, Finance or related fields, CA Intern, ICWA
- Experience of project budgeting / costing will be added advantage
