Inspired by the observation that effective communication in English is a key employability skill, our founders, Ajit and Satish, initiated evening computer classes for at-risk children. People Ops at U&I is all about building a workplace where people feel supported, inspired, and set up for success. We’re looking for someone who brings warmth, strong execution, and the drive to take ownership.

Job Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment and ensure a smooth, positive candidate experience.
- Execute onboarding and help new joiners feel welcomed, informed, and equipped.
- Maintain accurate employee records, trackers, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate and support Learning & Development initiatives and follow-ups.
- Assist in running performance cycles and ensure timely completion of processes.
- Ideate and implement staff wellbeing, culture, and engagement initiatives.
- Collect staff feedback and support regular pulse checks.
- Support payroll with required employee data and documentation.
- Assist with compliance, audits, and policy updates.
- Manage office supplies, vendor coordination, and basic admin operations.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- 1 to 3 years of HR experience.
- Attention to detail and organizational prowess.
- A dash of creativity and the ability to think beyond the ordinary.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with an ethical compass.
- Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A team player attitude.
- Masterful time and data management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Canva
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
Good to Have
- Experience in HR operations or recruitment
- Exposure to L&D or employee engagement
- Ability to think creatively for culture/wellbeing
- Interest in building systems and improving processes
- POSH certification
