Communications Officer

Organization: Operation Eyesight Universal
Apply By: 04 Aug 2025
Location: Hyderabad(Telangana)
About the Organization
In India alone, we are working in communities in 90 districts across 17 states. Our team’s presence on the ground allows us to act quickly and leverage the unique strengths of our communities of work.
Job Description
We are seeking a Communications Officer to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic communications and marketing initiatives that align with our global objectives and reflect the unique needs of our country programs and the communities we serve. This role is central to advancing our awareness and fundraising efforts through powerful storytelling and impact-driven messaging. If you love to write, have a proven track record of driving successful communication initiatives, and know what it takes to develop the right content with the right message for the right audience, then this could be your dream job.
As a key member of our growing Marketing & Communications team, you will be one of our first communications-focused professionals based outside of Canada. You will act as a vital bridge between our headquarters and our field teams, collaborating across departments to ensure consistent, culturally sensitive and impactful communications worldwide.
Chatting with our partners in Bangladesh about local media opportunities or collaborating with colleagues in India on a fundraising campaign could become your new normal. Joining a Teams call to brainstorm with colleagues in Canada in the morning and then interviewing a community health worker in Nepal in the afternoon could become your new day-to-day. Best of all, you will be part of something big, helping to drive our organization forward as we work toward our vision of the elimination of avoidable vision loss.
