About the Organization

Mobile Creches, (MC) a pioneering NGO, is operational since 1969, reaching early childhood care and development services to more than 20,000 marginalised young children every year, through creches and daycare centres at worksites, urban slums and rural areas across India. MC’s multi-pronged approach - quality services, capacity building, and ECD partnerships facilitates provision of overlapping rights of good health, adequate nutrition, early learning, and responsive caregiving in a safe and caring environment to young children. It also eases childcare burden of their mothers and siblings and empower women by enhancing their education and earning opportunities. In its strategic period commencing from April 2022, MC aims to accelerate access to quality ECD for half a million children by supporting sustainable childcare ecosystems, in partnership with government, civil society organisations, businesses, communities, parents and other key stakeholders. As an organisation, MC adheres to a strict safeguarding policy for children and vulnerable adults. All staff, volunteers, interns, vendors, consultants etc. are obliged to be aware of the conditions of this policy and be a signatory.

Job Description

Specific Areas of Responsibilities are not limited to: -

• Creating inclusive Under 3s curriculum content such as curriculum modules, lesson plans, supportive play materials, video scripts, etc. catering to the early stimulation needs of children of varied abilities, gender and backgrounds.
• Field testing the curriculum developed and finalizing the content as per feedback by the experts.
• Organizing meetings for curriculum and modules’ development.
• Identifying and assessing the training needs of the MC staff on the newly developed Inclusive Under 3s curriculum in consultation with the thematic lead and Program Implementors/Senior Implementors on field and conducting trainings accordingly.
• Designing and developing needs-based training modules using digital formats.
• Tracking budget and project activities as per guidance of the Thematic Lead.
• Analyzing data and making reports as mandated by the project.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• B. Ed degree in special education (Intellectual Disability)/ early childhood development/Developmental Psychology/Child Development.
• Experience: At least 4-5 years’ work experience in inclusive educational settings esp. with children in early childhood years (below 6 years), preferably in the development sector. Should have developed Inclusive Early Childhood Education curriculum content. Should be well versed with use of technology to promote ECD.

Key skills –

• Excellent writing skills in Hindi and English Language
• Excellence in comprehension skills
• Strong understanding of Inclusive pedagogy and ECCE.
• Experience in developing inclusive curriculum content.
• Experience in designing worksheets related to the curriculum.
• Experience in developing and using online training materials.
• Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports.
• Good computer skills- MS Office, CANVA, and internet.
• Good computer and database skills
• Guiding Training and Facilitation skills.
• Familiar with Participatory training methodology
• Ability to motivate others and inspire trust.
• Ability to relate with audience at the grass root level.
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques.
