About the Organization

Pratham was founded in 1995, to provide pre-school education to children in Mumbai slums. Over the last 30 years, Pratham has grown to be one of the largest non-profit organizations working to provide quality education to children and youth in over 25 states and union territories across the country, through a range of interventions. 

Pratham is a widely recognized organization, having received notable awards such as the Yidan Prize, Lui Che Woo Prize, WISE Prize for Innovation, Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, the Henry R Kravis Prize in Leadership, and the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year for Public Service.

About Punjab Programs

Pratham has partnered with the Government of Punjab across all 23 districts to strengthen education from early years to upper primary. Since 2017, Pratham has supported SCERT on pre-primary education and, since June 2025, WCD Punjab on enhancing early childhood education (ECE) in Anganwadis. At the primary level, the partnership supports the implementation of the FLN framework for Classes 1 and 2, and the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach for Classes 3 to 8 in English, Punjabi, and Mathematics. Pratham’s role is to facilitate program delivery by supporting government processes such as content development, training, capacity building, implementation, and monitoring systems.

Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the field of education. The role requires working closely with government officials, engaging in active listening, collaboration, and problem-solving to drive positive change. The team leader will play a key role in building strong relationships with government stakeholders, supporting school visits, and providing actionable feedback to improve educational practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with government officials and education department representatives to ensure smooth programme implementation.
  • Conduct regular visits to designated schools to observe teaching-learning processes and provide constructive feedback.
  • Build and maintain professional connections with government departments and other relevant partner organizations.
  • Gather field-level insights, prepare reports, and share recommendations with the Pratham team for programme improvement.
  • Support capacity-building workshops, meetings, and review sessions with teachers and officials.
  • Act as a liaison between schools, communities, and the organization to strengthen coordination and impact.
  • Ensure timely documentation, data collection, and reporting of field activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with additional formal qualifications in the field of Early Childhood Education.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in education, community development, or programme management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with government officials and school staff.
  • High level of motivation, energy, and commitment to improving the education system.
  • Ability to conduct independent school visits and prepare clear, actionable feedback.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the district
