Samhita-CGF is an impact catalyst that has been a leader in India’s CSR landscape for 15 years. Over this time, we have partnered with more than 250 funders and 500 impact organizations, co-creating solutions that are measurable, scalable, and sustainable. Together, these efforts have improved the lives of over 17 million Indians across 31 states and union territories. Through our initiatives, which are CSR and FCRA compliant, we address key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
We began as a CSR consultancy to ensure that companies create catalytic change by leveraging their business capabilities to solve social issues that they and their stakeholders care about. We then transitioned into a strategic alliance builder, bringing together public, private, and philanthropic stakeholders to solve pressing societal challenges, at scale. We established and managed 5 alliances which are collectively impacting 7 million individuals from underserved communities, across financial inclusion, healthcare, livelihood, water and sanitation.
Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager/ Manager- Programs will be responsible for end-to-end program management in the Access to Finance vertical. The candidate will work with funders and Samhita implementation partners in need identification, program conceptualisation and implementation of projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Proposal development and program design
- Design programs as per the requirement of the grant giving agencies and/ stakeholders
- Create roadmap for existing programs for a 3–5 year time frame including strategies for widening outreach and deepening impact
- Work closely with the business development team on proposals
- Contribute to the mainstreaming of best/good practices in needs assessment, project design, implementation, M & E, and research
- Create and manage detailed project plans, deliverables, timelines in co-ordination with other stakeholders
- Identification and capacity building of the implementation partners for project delivery
- Establish effective and efficient program monitoring; through clearly defined data tracking, reporting, documentation to achieve the project deliverables as per milestones
- Manage budget and resources for efficient project delivery
- Responsible for quality control and effective risk management of the projects
- Follow compliance procedures as applicable
- Manage all data reporting and documentation requirements of the project to the stakeholders
- Ensure that lessons, learning and research around program quality is carried out and used for program quality improvement
- Program implementation and monitoring
- Team management
- Lead, co-ordinate and motivate the team to achieve project goals and deliverables
- Ensure optimal coordination and collaboration of team members with relevant teams and contribution to relevant organizational initiatives
- Relationship management
- Responsible for managing excellent relations with the implementation partners and other partners in the Samhita ecosystem (govt agencies, funders, lenders) who are part of the projects handled
- Independently manage external stakeholder conversations with the different stakeholders as well as implementation partners
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in the development sector or allied service sectors with good understanding of / exposure to financial inclusion projects.
- Experience in working with communities at the grassroots level and implementing large scale programs.
- Ability to structure projects/engagements for the team
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes.
- Demonstrated success of developing and evaluating program models, NGOs, and operationalizing programs.
- Experience of engaging with international clients and working in remote onsite-offshore environment will be an added advantage
- Ability to contribute beyond the defined scope of work
- Demonstrated experience of contributing in firm and knowledge building within organisation
