About the Role:

The Mathematics Faculty plays a pivotal role in empowering youth from rural and marginalized communities to succeed in the 21st century. This role involves engaging directly with young people, fostering Mathematical proficiency and skills such as communication, critical thinking and digital literacy, while also building essential networks and exposing youth to world-class educational and career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Areas:

• Teach and facilitate learning in Mathematics for senior secondary students.
• Help students in 11^th and 12^th grade to prepare for competitive exams for various central universities, new age universities and quality public universities.
• Provide career guidance and counselling.
• Mentor youth and lead sessions on 21st-century skills, workplace and academic exposure and career development.
• Build, nurture and sustain relationships with schools, parents, communities, community-based organizations (CBO) and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).
• Coordinate with internal teams for smooth program planning and execution.
• Support documentation, monitoring and evaluation of field activities.
• Travel frequently to rural field locations and contribute to the on-ground impact of Karta’s programs.
• Any other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or the Senior management team.

What we are looking for:

• Native fluency in Odia.
• Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. (Preference will be given to Master’s)
• Demonstrated ability to work with children and youth and a zeal to contribute to the education of underprivileged youth is strongly desirable.
• Strong values of compassion, integrity and resilience.
• Non-linear thinker, institution builder and action-oriented with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite and creating PPTs is a must.
• Ready to travel extensively to remote rural areas of minimum 70-80 days in a year.
• Based in Delhi/NCR or willing to relocate.
• Having a long-term outlook and willing to commit 2-3 years to the organization.
• Problem solver and can work with minimal supervision.
• Can go beyond the call of duty and put the cause before self.

Prior Experience: 0–5 years of experience

Compensation Offered: Gross compensation budgeted for this position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, no. of years and quality of experience.

Medical Insurance Benefits: Comprehensive medical insurance (Rs. 3 lakhs cover) for self, spouse and dependents, plus an accident policy (Rs. 5 lakhs cover).
