About Digital Equalizer Program
Digital Equalizer is AIF's flagship education program. DE envisions a world where all children from under-served communities, especially girls, are prepared for a career and life. The program is bridging India’s digital divide by providing and integrating technology into underperforming, under-resourced public schools, training teachers in techno-pedagogy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) methodology, and transforming classrooms into collaborative and interactive places for students to learn while preparing them for success in the 21st century global economy. Since its inception in 2004, the Program has empowered 7.25 million children with interactive STEM experiences, trained 212,585 teachers in STEM pedagogy, and transformed 32,596 schools across 35 states and union territories of the country.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Project Coordinator will be the key focal point of contact for the clusters and would report to the Project Lead.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the program is implemented as per the approved plan and budget.
- Monitor the implementation of the DE’ program with regular field visits to schools, district offices, and other stakeholders.
- Monthly field visit (minimum 15 days a month) and more, depending upon the program requirements.
- The field monitoring will (include but is not limited to) guiding and anchoring communication with the program stakeholders, preparing program plan in coordination with the field team, monitor implementation of the program as per the plan, and provide
- feedback to the Project lead and regional managers on programmatic progress and outputs.
- Monitoring and reporting shall involve the monthly collection of and management of data to enhance programmatic and financial output.
- The Project Coordinator shall coordinate with concerned team members on a regular basis to ensure program activities are implemented as per the AIP, will plan, implement and monitor activities in the field.
- The Project Coordinator will support budget exercises as per the program requirements and donor reporting.
- Project Coordinator will be responsible for documentation which involves preparing reports, compiling case studies/stories from the field, lead the baseline, mid-term and end-term evaluations, etc. on a regular basis.
- Ensure donor obligations for reporting are met as per the prescribed timelines.
- Maintain professional integrity and ethical conduct of working at all times.
- Any other work as assigned by the Project Lead.
Required key Skills, Qualification & Experience
- Post-graduation, with specialization in social entrepreneurship or communication or development management or economics or business studies preferred.
- Minimum 05 years of experience- either as a lead team member in a social enterprise and/or non-profit organization and/or eco-system building.
- Strong personal demonstrable commitment to “serve” those who are underprivileged.
- High personal Integrity.
- Strong PowerPoint presentation design & delivery skills.
- Excellent English skills – written and verbal.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving ability.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and openness to feedback.
- Ability to deliver under pressure and work on tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in fast changing environment and continuously evolving needs.
- Strong team playing skills.
