About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Job Description

The role will be working with Principal Investigator, research team, various stakeholders for the research study to examine the research culture in the universities of India, focusing on the case studies of it with reference to the Global North and south.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with stakeholders from the partner universities in India
• Conduct data analysis and write the case study report
• Support in coordination of the report launch event and workshop in India

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Post graduate degree in Education or equivalent from recognized institutions.

Experience:

• 1-3 years research experience in similar roles preferably in the arena of education and teacher education

• Work collaboratively & multitasking
• Ensure ethical conduct and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in writing reports and research papers.
• Strong analytical abilities for data interpretation.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• A good understanding and working experience of SPSS and other statistical softwares for quantitative and/or qualitative analysis.
• Experience in working with teachers, student and institutions
• Experience in independently handling tasks with tight deadlines and with attention to detail
• Experience in organizing and analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative)

Salary

Gross monthly remuneration for the position is Rs. 50,000 /- per month, commensurate with qualification and experience.
