Job Responsibilities

• To conduct population genetic research work on wildlife species of Northeast India in the Wildlife Genetics Laboratory of Aaranyak situated in Guwahati, Assam.
• To undertake field surveys and laboratory work as assigned by the Director & Head, Wildlife Genetics Division.
• Maintaining regular communication on relevant matters within the team and timely reporting to the Head, Wildlife Genetics Division.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in relevant disciplines of biological sciences including Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany, Wildlife Sciences etc.

Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1year of experience of laboratory work in Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), DNA based techniques, such as DNA extraction, PCR etc.
• Experience of fieldwork and ability to work in difficult physical conditions in remote places of northeast India.
• Experience of teamwork and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to drive two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles and holds a valid driving license.
