About the Organization

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest and largest medical research bodies in the world.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle large-scale datasets, perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct descriptive, inferential, and predictive statistical analyses based on project and policy needs.
• Design and implement data processing workflows, statistical tools, and automated scripts for efficient and reproducible data handling.
• Develop dashboards, data visualizations, technical reports, and policy briefs to support evidence based decision-making.
• Collaborate with research and policy teams to provide statistical insights for publications, evaluations, and strategic planning.
• Prepare data documentation, including data dictionaries and metadata, and assist in building analytical capacity within the team.
• Contribute to the preparation of presentations and summaries for stakeholder meetings, reviews, and consultations.
• Any other work assigned

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Post Graduates in Biostatistics/ Statistics/ Demography/ Population Studies/ Public Health/ Medical Sociology with at least 55% marks with I year of Post qualification experience' in the related field.

Desirable Qualification

• Strong scientific writing skills for manuscript and study report preparation.
• Prior experience of Systematic review and Meta analysis
• 1 Having experience in advanced statistics modelling techniques using statistical software like R, STATA
• Prior experiençe of analyzing large scale survey data such as NFHS, NSSO, IHDS, Census etc.
• Prior experience of constructing data file based on multiple data sources
• At least one/two publication in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal as a first or corresponding author

Salary

Rs. 42,000.00 / month
