SIIC, IIT Kanpur, is one of India's oldest technology business incubators, established in 2000 to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. Initially launched in collaboration with SIDBI, the center has supported over 200 startups across various sectors and has played a pivotal role in nurturing a robust startup ecosystem. In 2018, its operations were streamlined under the Foundation for Research & Innovation in Science & Technology (FIRST), a Section 8 company established by IIT Kanpur.

The center connects startups with academics, mentors, investors, and industry experts, offering comprehensive support from ideation to commercialization. SIIC focuses on developing science- and engineering-based solutions to address critical societal challenges, particularly those affecting underprivileged communities.

Job Description

The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), Kanpur invites applications for filling up of Young Professional Program Fellow post.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth onboarding experience for new joiners.
  • Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance record.
  • Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, and other required letters.
  • Assisting departments with their recruitment needs.
  • Lead/ Support a broad range of HR processes, such as defining requirements, setting priorities, reviewing solutions, providing planning input, and communicating to business leadership.
  • Provide general project execution support across projects and activities.
  • Travel, as and when required, for project execution and monitoring as well as for coordination with geographically distributed teams
  • Lead and support other activities as assigned.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
  • 1 year of experience in human resources.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Logical and analytical thinking skills
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
