About the Organization

Jimei University, a key university located in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, is jointly constructed by the Ministry of Transport, the State Oceanic Administration, the Fujian Provincial Government and the Xiamen Municipal Government. The University enrols students from all over the country as well as from overseas. There are currently over 27,000 students. More than 25,000 are full-time undergraduate students. Over 1,400 are pursuing masters and other postgraduate degrees. Doctorate degree programs are also offered.

Jimei University continues to strive and excel as a leading institution of higher learning in China. It will make further contributions in research and teaching and continue to pursue a higher level of excellence that will attract teachers, students and researchers from across China and abroad.

About the Conference  

ICESD 2025 is hosted by Jimei Universty, China. ICESD 2025 brings together innovative academics and industrial experts to a common forum to facilitate the exchange of scientific information and its application in the field of Environmental Science and Development.

The conference aims to provide a platform for experts, scholars, engineers and researchers in related fields to share scientific research achievements and cutting-edge technologies, to comprehend academic development trends, to broaden research ideas, and strengthen academic research and discussion and to promote academic accomplishments through industrialization cooperation. Scholars from universities, scientific research institutions and other relevant enterprises will be invited to attend the conference. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Environmental Science and Development and related areas.

Call for Papers:

2025 16th International Conference on Environmental Science and Development (ICESD 2025) is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and applied Environmental Science and Development. The conference will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world. Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

• Environmental Ecological Engineering
• Ecosystem Management and Sustainable Development
• Environmental Monitoring and Management
• Resources and Environment Engineering
• Water Resources Management and Water Pollution Control
• Atmospheric science and air pollution control
• Solid Waste Pollution Control and Resource Utilization

• Track 1: Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
• Track 3: Pollution Control and Remediation
• Track 4: Renewable Energy and Green Technology
• Track 6: Urban Sustainability and Smart Cities
• Track 9: Emerging Technologies for Environmental Monitoring

How to Apply

Authors are kindly invited to submit full papers or abstracts(.pdf), which will be sent via Submission System or icesdinfo@163.com.

In order to participate in the conference of ICESD 2025, at least one author of each paper must register and present for the conference.

Full Paper/Abstract submission Before April 30, 2025.

Papers submitted to ICESD 2025 will be proceeded into academic review by at least 2-3 experts. After acceptation, conference presented and registered will be included in the ICESD 2025 Conference Proceedings by Springer, which will be included in Springer Digital Library and indexed by Ei Compendex, Scopus, and CPCI (Web of Science).

Selected excellent papers will be recommended to be published in International Journal of Environmental Science and Development (CiteScore 1.4), SCI Impact Factor: 10.22  (JCR Q1) and Journal of Environmental Informatics Letters.
