About the Organization
The Centre for Business and Financial Laws at NLU Delhi was established to develop intellectual leadership and capabilities in the field of banking, capital markets, and other financial services. It seeks to engage public and private stakeholders for working together on exchange of ideas, policy recommendations, and allied regulatory issues. It also aims to generate scholarship and work as a think tank f or the robustness and soundness of the business sector, including regularly undertaking advanced research and policy work for projects in collaboration with various government and private agencies. Further, it undertakes events with the aim to generate and disseminate information, involve professionals and students in dialogues, and improve the understanding of legal matters. On the publication side, the centre’s flagship blog, the CBFL Blog, has over the last few years grown to become one of India’s most sought-after blogs in the area of corporate and commercial laws, with a large number of articles submitted to it each day and a highly selective editorial process managed completely by members of the centre.
About the Journal
The NLUD Business and Financial Law Review (NLUD BFLR) is the newly-launched flagship commercial law journal of the Centre for Business and Financial Laws at NLU Delhi, the inaugural volume of which is set to be published in September 2025. The NLUD BFLR intends to serve as a source of cutting-edge contemporary discourse on issues relevant to the areas of corporate and commercial laws, by publishing high-quality articles authored by students, academicians, and practitioners. The focus of the publication will be on the latest developments in commercial law, ensuring relevance to contemporary l egal and financial challenges so as to encourage critical analysis, reform proposals, and comparative studies to contribute to the evolution of business law in India and globally.
Themes for Submissions:
The journal would accept and publish articles dealing with the following themes and areas of law, under the broad umbrella of corporate and commercial laws:

- Competition Law
- Contract Law
- Employment Law
- Foreign Investment
- Insolvency Law
- Insurance Laws
- Securities Law and
- Capital Markets Taxation Law
How to Apply
The NLUD Business and Financial Law Journal is now accepting submissions for its inaugural edition (Volume I). The deadline for submissions is 27 April 2025. The editorial board will endeavour to review and process the submissions within six weeks starting from the submission deadline.
Categories of Submissions Long Articles (Above 5000 words) Essays (3000 – 5000 words) Book Reviews or Case/Legislative Comments (1500– 3000 words).
The submission must be made through this Google Form only. Submissions made in any other form shall not be accepted. The document name must be in the following format “[Full Name of the Author(s)] [Title of Submission].”
