About the Fellowship

The Creative Fellowship places emerging talent on dedicated creative teams at Google, gaining exposure and hands-on experience across many of our in-house creative departments. The 6-month program aims to provide an enriching experience, while ushering in a dynamic network of creative talent with fresh perspectives and a strong “maker-first” approach.

The Creative Fellowship experience differs across participants. Each Fellow will be placed on a Google creative team and work on real projects under that team’s guidance. Here are a few projects that past Creative Fellows have worked on, across four teams: Brand Studio, Creative Lab, Google Cloud Brand & Creative, and YouTube Creative Studio.

Roles

The 2025 Creative Fellowship will take place in the United States. Fellows must be located and have work authorization in the United States in order to participate.

Below are the open roles for the 2025 Creative Fellowship. We encourage you to read the descriptions and select up to two creative role(s) that feel most applicable to you and your skillset. Roles are subject to change. Please read the requirements below before submitting interest for a role.

• Brand Studio is a team of writers, art directors, designers, filmmakers, engineers, producers, and strategists focused on building the Google brand. We produce a range of creative work, including films, ad campaigns, and interactive experiences, that bring Google's values to life for a global audience.
• The Creative Lab is a team of designers, writers, programmers, filmmakers, producers, and business thinkers whose mission is to remind the world what it is they love about Google. Our job is to make Google's magic more magical, help advance and invent Google's future, and to communicate Google's innovations, intentions, and ideals in ways that makes us all immensely proud.
• Cloud Brand & Creative is a diverse set of thinkers, makers, and creators that love to simplify complexity. We offer insights and ideas that inspire love for our brand and our products to grow our business. We challenge a category filled with predictable thinking, vague buzzwords, and tired B2B clichés. We make enterprise-grade, mission-critical cloud technology feel uniquely human…and uniquely Google.
• YouTube Creative Studio's mission is to create work that is impossible to ignore. With a team made up of Creatives, Producers, and Strategic thinkers, we work to bring the magic of our platform to life for our audiences—focusing on Shorts, Subscriptions, and Creators.

Eligibility

The program is for emerging creative thinkers (0 - 5 years of creative experience) who have a clear point of view and passion for making things and telling stories. We’re looking for individuals excited to bring their unique voice and craft to Google’s creative teams. Each creative team at Google is looking for something different, so we encourage creatives to apply with work that best captures their craft.

How to Apply

The program will run from June 2025 to December 2025. Submissions of interest are due by March 10th, 5pm (PST). We will inform shortlisted candidates of their advancement by mid April, and a 3rd party employment agency will contact finalist candidates for next steps in early May.
