About the Organization
DEVI Sansthan is a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO), founded in 1992 by Dr Sunita Gandhi. Our vision is a world in which every person is empowered with the skills of functional literacy and numeracy. Our mission is to mobilise a movement for literacy for all. This encompasses everyone – children in and out of school, and adults of all ages! Beyond literacy, we strive to catalyse transformation of the education system, to become more holistic and learner-centred.

About the Fellowship
The Dr. Jagdish Gandhi Youth Fellowship is a 6-month immersive program designed to nurture passionate young individuals who are committed to making a difference in the social sector, especially in the field of education. This fellowship offers hands-on experience, skill development, and mentorship to equip youth with the tools they need to drive social impact.
The program seeks to engage motivated young adults, giving them the platform to contribute to meaningful educational initiatives while developing leadership and project management skills.

- Stipend: Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10000/- to support their financial needs during the 6-month program, allowing them to focus fully on the fellowship.
- Hands-on Experience: Gain practical, on-ground exposure to impactful projects in the education sector. Fellows will work with underprivileged communities, schools, and NGOs to address critical educational challenges.
- Mentorship: Receive one-on-one mentoring from senior professionals in the social sector. Fellows will be guided in developing leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and strategic thinking to scale their social impact. The fellows will get exposure to CSR and NGO Management as well.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Dr. Jagdish Gandhi Youth Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age: 20-28 years
- Education: Minimum qualification of a graduate degree from a recognized institution.
- Passion for the Social Sector: Applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest in working within the social sector, particularly in education and community development.
- Commitment: Full-time availability for the 6-month duration of the fellowship.
- Language Proficiency: Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or any regional language.
- Location: Open to candidates across India who are willing to work in different geographies.
How to Apply
The selection process for the Dr. Jagdish Gandhi Youth Fellowship involves a rigorous evaluation based on the following stages
- Application Form: Candidates must fill out the application form detailing their educational qualifications, professional experience, and motivation for applying.
- Written Statement: Applicants are required to submit a 200-300 word statement explaining why they want to join the fellowship and how they plan to contribute to the education sector.
- Shortlisting: A panel of experts will review all applications, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for the next round.
- Interview: Shortlisted applicants will undergo a personal interview (either virtual or in-person) to assess their dedication, vision, and alignment with the goals of the fellowship.
- Final Selection: Selected fellows will be notified and provided with a detailed onboarding plan. The fellowship will commence from March 15th.
