About the Organization

kanthari, an international institute for leadership, in Trivandrum, Kerala, South of India.

We are a team of professional enthusiast catalysts who give it their all, to practically equip change makers with all tools and skills required to start their own impact-making organizations.

Through an immersive, hands-on, and intensive training program, participants acquire all the techniques, tools, methods, and skills they need to start up and run effective, relevant social and/or environmental projects/ initiatives/organizations.

About the Fellowship   

kanthari in Trivandrum, Kerala, South of India, offers a 12 month leadership program for visionaries who have overcome adversity and who are keen to drive ethical social change. kanthari equips participants with tools that are required to start and run an NGO, organisation or social venture: project planning, accounting, fundraising, developing policies, Curriculum development, venture profile, public speaking, branding etc.

All hands-on practical workshops are conducted by a group of international experts we call catalysts.

kanthari fosters participants from all over the world. Some have university degrees while others have little to no formal education. Some are blind or physically disabled, others have no disabilities at all. What is important is a sense of ownership, motivation, creativity, talent and passion to create a positive social impact in their communities and have the strength to be forces of good rather than victims of circumstance.

kanthari is the Authorized training center of the Vocational training program of Bharath Sevak Samaj (BSS), National development agency, promoted by Govt. of India.

What we offer:

• Selected participants will qualify for a scholarship provided by our donors to cover the training fee and accommodation.
• Graduates of the program will have access to a network of change-makers from 50+ countries worldwide.
• The course covers a range of topics that are relevant to start and run an impact making organization.

Eligibility

To apply, you must fulfil the following criteria:

• Be over 22 years of age (no upper age limit)
• Have you overcome adversity that drives you to make a difference in your community?
• Demonstrate passion and dedication to contribute to a better tomorrow.
• Speak and understand basic English and have basic computer skills
