Applications Open for Changelooms- Youth Leaders in Climate Action Making Climate Action Everyone’s Agenda

Since 2005, Changelooms, a social entrepreneurship incubation and capacity-building initiative, has supported 750 young changemakers addressing diverse issues across India. Here’s your chance to join this vibrant community of passionate practitioners. The programme is conceptualized and designed by ComMutiny-The Youth Collective, with vartaLeap as the ecosystem partner. The programme is supported by Rainmatter Foundation, DKA Austria, and ZVC, with Jhini Learning as a facilitating partner and Pravah, Dhriiti, Bindi International, and Wild Tales as knowledge partners.

Inviting social change initiatives/ organisations to join a three-year long leadership journey designed to nurture youth leaders in building climate positive communities.

Eligibility Criteria

• Social Change initiatives/organisations* in existence for at least 6 months as on Sep 1, 2024, with long-term plans for social change.
• Two youth leaders (Founder and Co-Founder/Senior Leader) from each organisation must apply together.
• Both youth leaders (Indian citizens) should be between 18-35 years of age with working knowledge of English and/or Hindi.
• Must have focused engagement with adolescents/ young people and a deep interest to work in the climate action space.

As a Changeloomer, you will:

1. Undergo an intensive leadership journey for 18 months followed by an additional 18 months of support to deepen your work.
2. Get financial support of up to 2 Lakhs.
3. Visit impactful field sites to gain practical insights.
4. Receive mentorship from some of the best sectoral leaders from the vartaLeap coalition.
5. Interact with climate experts and other sectoral leaders in monthly learning conversation - ‘Changelooms Chaupals’
6. Get opportunities to showcase your work across many platforms.
