About the Grant
Sequoia Park Zoo incorporates wildlife conservation as an essential part of our mission. We fund conservation field work, spread awareness about threats to wildlife and habitats, and inspire conservation action among our visitors.
Conservation Fund:
Established in 2011, the Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Fund supports local and global conservation-related programs, projects, and initiatives with funds sourced through our Quarters for Conservation program, Round Up for Conservation program, grants, and donations.
Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Fund includes support for the Zoo’s annual Conservation Lecture Series, conservation grant awards, mission-based events, habitat research and restoration activities, and carefully selected conservation organizations, animal rehabilitation facilities, and conservation programs that connect to the animals in our care.
Sequoia Park Zoo Advisory Group’s Conservation Council is accepting proposals for our thirteenth annual Conservation Grant Program.
Proposals should be submitted by individuals or organizations for projects that have a clear and direct impact on the conservation of wildlife or habitats. Appropriate projects include proposals for research, certain educational programs, and habitat management. Special consideration is given to projects that are in line with the Sequoia Park Zoo’s mission, focus on species represented at the Zoo, or support local wildlife or habitats. Funds will be granted up to $3,000 for projects that can be completed within two years.
