EOI invited from FCRA-registered NGOs to work in strategic districts across India.

Organization: Access to Justice for Children

Apply By: 08 Apr 2025

Child protection is essential for the attainment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to meet the SDGs globally, India’s progress in achieving the goals focused on women and children is strategically important. India is also uniquely placed as an example among the developing countries for upholding the rule of law through its legal regime including robust policies, budgetary allocations for institutional development, and by building the capacity of all stakeholders. To supplement the efforts being made by the Government of India, an integral role can be played by grassroots-level interventions of non-governmental and community-based organizations.

The Access to Justice Program provides support to NGOs to supplement, augment, and complement the efforts being made by the Government in the field of child protection.

Last year, the Access to Justice Program, based out of Washington DC, supported partners and activities in India, Nepal among other countries.

During April 2024 to March 2025, in India alone, the Access to Justice Program supported more than 200 NGOs in upholding the rule of law and assisted the Government of India in providing legal protection to all children. These endeavours resulted in: the rescue of more than 50,000 children from trafficking; initiation of 30,000+ cases of trafficking; and preventing/stopping child marriages of more than 250,000 vulnerable and at-risk girls.

The Access to Justice Program is dedicated to supporting the implementation of the existing Indian laws and ensuring that children are provided with the rights and services guaranteed by the Indian Constitution, various legal provisions of the Government of India and various State Governments.

This Expression of Interest (EoI) is to invite applications from FCRA-registered NGOs to work in strategic districts across India.

Selected organizations will be notified within a period of fifteen days of the EoI’s date of closure on the next step in the process. The short-listed organizations will be invited to Delhi to participate in a workshop where collectively we will co-create the intended work.

Submitting the EoI with answers to the eligibility criteria questions does not automatically guarantee that the organization will be selected to move forward in the process.

Application submission is open from 24 March 2025 and will close on 8 April 2025 at 11:59pmIST/2:29pmET. Please sign up to apply.

We highly encourage organizations to apply as early as possible to ensure all documents required are received by the deadline and avoid any technical issues. No late applications or documents will be accepted. In case of any issues in completing the form, please contact us: 8800023676.
