Goals and objectives

The objective of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to identify an Implementing Partner who has a strong track record of implementing CSR projects, working with vulnerable and disadvantaged communities, and has a clear vision of how to address social issues.

About donor

A reputed listed subsidiary of one of public sector bank in India (‘entity’) is seeking a partnership with NGOs/organizations for implementing its Corporate Social Responsibility projects in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad for meeting its CSR obligations of financial year 2023-24. The entity is committed to making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of disadvantaged communities and those facing social exclusion, and is especially interested in partnerships with NGOs/organizations that have experience in any of the below themes:  

  • Education and Literacy
  • Environmental protection
  • Health and Nutrition
  • Sports promotion

Proposal Requirements

Organizations submitting their proposals should consider the following key requirements:

  • Project theme should be health and nutrition / Education / promotion of sports or Environmental protection
  • Project should be implemented in Delhi NCR/ Mumbai or Ahmedabad
  • Project budget should have a minimum of INR 1 crore but not more than INR 2 crores
  • The duration of the project should be a one-year period
  • The project should be implemented in the financial year 2023-2024

Eligibility Requirements

Organizations must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for registration as a CSR Partner:

(a)   Applicants must be from not-for-profit organizations, registered as a Society, Trust, or Section 8 Company or any such other organization eligible to implement CSR activities in India and registered in India before 31 March 2020

(b)   Applicants must have more than three years' established track record of undertaking CSR activities

(c)   Applicants must have registration under 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act

(d)   Applicants must possess CSR1 registration and be eligible to conduct CSR activities in India

(e)   Applicants must have a geographical presence and have implemented CSR projects in Mumbai/ Delhi NCR or Ahmedabad

Selection process

Stage I: In the first stage of the selection process, an Expression of Interest (EOI) will be invited from the interested applicants to demonstrate their relevant experience and organizational capacity as a CSR partner. All eligible applications received shall be carefully evaluated and assessed, considering all details provided in the prescribed formats.

Stage II: The organizations shortlisted through the evaluation of the EOIs will be identified for detailed evaluation based upon the assessment/validation of the required documents submitted by them. Shortlisted organizations shall be contacted and asked for a detailed project proposal.

Stage III: Proposals of the CSR partners will be assessed, and the final shortlisted applicants' proposals will be presented to the CSR committee of the organization.

Stage IV: The communication to the shortlisted partners will come from the Entity and other contractual formalities will be conducted. Grant money will be disbursed based on the terms and conditions or milestones as agreed in the grant agreement.

During the evaluation process, all applicants will be requested to furnish detailed information/supporting documents to verify the eligibility requirements.

How to apply

Applicants wishing to respond to this EOI document and participate in the assessment are required to submit their applications in the prescribed format (EOI Format). If your organization is interested in becoming a CSR partner of the Entity, please submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) outlining your vision, strategy, and activities in the areas mentioned above in the attached EOI form.

EOIs shall be submitted through soft copy by e-mail to CSRpartners@in.gt.com by or before 6:00 p.m. 05 June 2023 with the subject line: “EOI – CSR Partnership 2023--24”. Applications received after the above date and time will be summarily rejected.

Please note that the CSR partner shortlisting and selection process is being independently managed and administered by Grant Thornton. Attempts to influence decisions will not be considered favorably.
