RFP - Selection of agency to provide free coaching for Graduate-level competitive exams

ABOUT THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP):

This Request for Proposal is being floated by JSW Foundation, inviting eligible agencies for submission of proposals in prescribed format for ‘Selection of agency to provide free coaching for Graduate-level competitive exams (Non-technical), in DIZ villages of JSW’s ISP project, Jagatsinghpur’.

The cost of coaching would be borne by JSW Foundation. No fees is to be charged from enrolled candidates under this programme.

BACKGROUND OF THE JAGATSINGHPUR STEEL PLANT PROJECT, PARADIP:

JSW Utkal Steel Ltd. (JUSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Steel Ltd., has proposed to set up a Greenfield ISP to produce 13.2 MTPA crude steel along with captive power plant (CPP) of 900 MW capacity and cement grinding & mixing unit of 10.0 MTPA in Jagatsinghpur district, near Paradeep in Odisha. JUSL also intends to set up 30.0 MTPA iron ore grinding & desliming plant near Joda in Keonjhar district of Odisha and iron ore slurry pipeline of approximate length of 312 km from Joda to the ISP site near Paradeep to transport the iron ore slurry. This slurry would be dewatered in the steel plant for production of pellet. The pellet 4 thus produced would be used as burden in the blast furnaces of the proposed steel plant as well as transferred to other units of JSW Steel Ltd. across India. JUSL has received the environmental clearance (EC) for setting up of a greenfield Integrated Steel Plant (ISP) of 13.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) crude steel from the Union Ministry of Environment & Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). The mega project will generate employment opportunities for 72,000 people (direct-15000, indirect-57000) in the region, which in turn will boost the economy of the state.

The approved project is one the largest in manufacturing sector in the country, which includes a 10 MTPA cement grinding unit that will process the slag generated in steel making. The project also involves a 900 megawatt (MW) captive power plant and a 52 MTPA handling capacity captive jetty.

• In addition, a copy of this RFP is to be signed on all pages and submitted along with the proposal, certifying that the bidder has read and understood the contents of the RFP
• Last date of submission of proposals is 27 th May 2023, by 5 PM
• Mere submission of proposal does not entitle any applicant to award of contract. JSWF reserves the right to reject any proposal without assigning any reasons thereof.
