Nature Conservancy India Solutions Private Limited (NCIS) is a private limited company and is a wholly owned Indian subsidiary of TNC. The company currently provides technical consultancy and other related services in the domain of conservation and environment. The company has the required registrations under the relevant Indian laws to provide such services in India.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Contract to be issued under the Request for Proposals (RFP) is for experienced behaviour change communications agency herein mentioned as Communications Partner (CP) to provide necessary staff, equipment, supplies and support to implement the communications strategyof TNC’s project Promoting Regenerative and No-Burn Agriculture (PRANA).

PRANA field implementation started on June 2022 and will continue through June 2025. The selectedCP will participate in a co-design phase of the communications strategy immediately after selection. Communications implementation will involve undertaking multiple project activities on ground, at various intensity of resource engagement in accordance with the project design, as described in detailed RFP document.

KEY PRANA OBJECTIVES

PRANA seeks to achieve the following objectives:

1. The elimination of burning on 1 million hectares of cropland

2. Atleast 250,000 farmers adopt zero-burning cropping systems

3. At least 6 million metric tons of CO2e mitigation

4. 500 billion liters of water saved from enhanced soil health and agronomy

5. Pilot of financial instrument that incentivizes farmers to adopt no-burn practices to reducegreenhouse gas emissions

PLACE AND PERIOD FOR PERFORMANCE

Place: 18 districts of Punjab (districts not included Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar (Ropar),SAS Nagar (Mohali), SBS Nagar).

Period: The CP will be expected to begin disseminating services for Project PRANA from April 2023 through June 2025. This is to be preceded by the design phase starting as soon as the CP is selected (April 2023)

TNC would have rights to terminate contract based on yearly performance review of the CP. If services are found to be satisfactory - on successful completion of the communicationsactivities as per the implementation plan, TNC would retain the same CP to implement the entire project.

PRE-BID QUERIES AND CLARIFICATIONS ON RFP

To clarify technical queries on RFP, Bidders must submit questions via email to pranatncindia@tnc.org by no later than 11:59pm IST, February 16th , 2023. TNC will make every effort to answer questions by February18 th, 2023, two days before the scheduled preproposal meeting on February 20th, 2023. Answers to all questions will be shared with all Bidders.

Last date for submission of proposal is February 21 st , 2023, by 11:59pm IST. Technical and Financial Proposals are required in soft copy only. The subject line of the email submission should state “PRANA Project Bid from organization XX” and will be shared at:

Submission of the proposal to any other individual will result in the disqualification of the proposal. Bidder can submit only one bid. Submitting multiple bids under different name will result in automaticdisqualification.
