About the Organization

Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) is a premier, national-level Institute for Postgraduate and Doctoral education, research, and consulting in rural management. Founded by Dr Verghese Kurien, the "Father of the White Revolution", IRMA's mission is to promote all-around sustainable rural development through professional management.

IRMA requires a Research Manager to work with the ESAF Chair for Business on Values. ESAF supports the Chair in pursuing research agendas focusing on reducing inequality and promoting strong value-driven organizations. Under the aegis of the Chair, IRMA has conducted case study competitions among postgraduate students, capacity-building programs for senior executives, and research studies. In the near future, the Chair plans to conduct multiple research studies, case study competitions, and industry events like Round Table on value-driven business.

Job Description

The Research Manager is expected to work independently within the scope of their responsibilities. Duties include but are not limited to, writing research proposals, developing a thematic understanding of issues related to ethics, inequality, social value creation, value-driven organizations, etc., conducting data analysis, drafting or editing manuscripts, writing reports, minutes of the meeting and transcription. The Research Manager would be responsible for organizing research events focusing on mainstreaming the narrative of value-driven business. The candidate should be comfortable in coordinating with multiple stakeholders across multiple states.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• The candidate should hold a master’s degree in fields such as Sociology, Management, Philosophy, and allied fields. Prior work experience in relevant areas would be an advantage. Since the focus of the work is on ethics and values, it is expected that the candidate would demonstrate a keen interest in related knowledge domains.

Selection criteria:

• Basic knowledge of research methodologies and analysis techniques (qualitative and quantitative)
• Experience in writing proposals and conducting studies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and software to analyze qualitative data.
• The applicant's age should preferably be under 35 years of age.

Salary

The consolidated remuneration will be in the range of Rs. 60,000-Rs.65,000/- per month commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and fit with the position.
