About the Organization
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) is the nodal agency in the administrative structure of the Central Government for the planning, promotion, co-ordination and overseeing the implementation of India’s environmental and forestry policies and programmes.
The Ministry also serves as the nodal agency in the country for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP), International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and for the follow-up of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED). The Ministry is also entrusted with issues relating to multilateral bodies such as the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD), Global Environment Facility (GEF) and of regional bodies like Economic and Social Council for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) and South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) on matters pertaining to the environment.
Job Description
Applications in the prescribed format are invited from willing persons for the engagement of One Associate (Legal)-A) in the Regional Office, Ministry at Environment, forest & Climate Change, Dehradun.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a recognized University and/or Institute in India, recognized by the Bar council of India and having experience of more than one (1) years and up to two (2) years.
- Enrolled as an advocate with the Bar council of india or any state Bar council, under the provisions of the Advocates act, 1961.
Desirable:
- experience of handling cases related to environment, forests, biodiversity and wildlife etc. in a Government Department/Board;
- possessinga Diploma/Certificate of specialization in related subjects/fields from a recognized University/Institution.
Preference would be given to
- candidates having scored 6oe (Sixty Percent) and above marks/ CGPA equivalent in the LLB exam:
- candidates having studied in full time LLB Course; and
- Candidates having scored 600/0(Sixty Percent) and above marks/CGPA equivalent in the LLM.
Salary
Rs. 40,000/- (Rs. Forty Thousand Only)
