Position Overview:

The Associate Manager - Agritech and Agri Value Chain will support the design and implementation of agriculture technology adoption and value chain development projects in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, and other key states. The role requires identifying appropriate agritech solutions, engaging with farmer collectives, supporting post-harvest and food processing interventions, and working with government and private sector stakeholders to scale innovative solutions.

The Role and Responsibilities:

Agritech Deployment & Farmer Adoption

• Identify and assess relevant agritech solutions, including AI-based tools, IoT applications, digital platforms, and precision agriculture technologies.
• Work closely with agritech startups, farmer collectives, and NGOs to facilitate technology trials and adoption.
• Support the design of agritech demonstration and pilot projects to assess feasibility and scalability.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of deployed agritech solutions in improving farm productivity and efficiency.

Strengthening Agri Value Chains & Food Processing

• Assist in mapping key agricultural value chains (horticulture, pulses, oilseeds, dairy, fisheries, etc.) and identifying intervention areas.
• Support FPOs and cooperatives in developing post-harvest processing, value addition, and market linkages.
• Work with agribusiness firms and supply chain partners to improve farm-to-market linkages and reduce post-harvest losses.
• Contribute to the development of business models that enhance the financial sustainability of FPOs and smallholder farmers.

Engagement with Government Policies & Programs

• Understand and align project interventions with relevant government schemes such as PM-KISAN, PM-FME, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), and state-level initiatives.
• Work with government departments, NABARD, SFAC, and agricultural research institutions to facilitate policy-driven support for agritech and value chain projects.
• Identify potential funding and subsidy opportunities for farmers and agribusinesses under various government schemes.

Private Sector & CSR Partnerships

• Support engagement with corporate partners, agribusiness companies, and development foundations to mobilize CSR funding for agritech and agri-value chain initiatives.
• Assist in proposal development and presentations for private-sector collaboration in agriculture-focused CSR projects.
• Coordinate with corporate teams to implement and monitor agritech-driven social impact programs.

Capacity Building & Farmer Training

• Assist in the development of training programs and knowledge-sharing materials for FPOs, cooperatives, and farmer groups.
• Organize workshops, exposure visits, and demonstration sessions to promote agritech awareness and adoption.
• Support the documentation of case studies, best practices, and impact reports to disseminate learnings from field interventions.

Qualification and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years (at least 2 years in agri value chain) of experience in agritech deployment, agri-value chain development, or FPO strengthening.
• Understanding of digital agriculture solutions, post-harvest value chains, and market linkages.
• Experience in working with government programs, FPOs, and agribusiness partners is desirable.
• Prior experience in CSR projects, corporate engagement, or NGO-led agriculture initiatives is an advantage.

• Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and monitor agritech-based rural development initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to work with FPOs, agribusiness companies, government agencies, and CSR partners.
• Analytical & Research Skills: Proficiency in value chain mapping, impact assessment, and data analysis.
• Communication & Documentation: Strong report writing, presentation, and proposal development skills.
