Job Description

CEED is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Associate – Industrial Decarbonisation, who will play an important role in:

• Leading engagements with hard to abate industries, SMEs, policymakers and other relevant partners in the industrial decarbonisation sector.
• Leading research and implementation of assigned projects focused on industrial decarbonisation.
• Draw important insights and provide recommendations to meet the goals and create impact in industrial decarbonisation, and
• facilitate on-ground partner-oriented activities at the state or group level in the Northern and Eastern part of India related to industrial decarbonisation.
• Support the Program leadership in fundraising, donor relationships and team management.
• Participation in partner dialogues, advocacy communicate with civil society, policymakers, business and government partners and multilateral actors active in India’s energy transition and represent CEED publicly on perspectives related to the Industrial decarbonisation strategy.

Job Responsibilities

• Research and Literature Analysis – description of industrial decarbonization in regional policies, presenting relationship regional policy- industrial decarbonisation, competitiveness of the region.
• Data Collection – Statistical data and reports, regional development strategies, regional operational programmes supporters related to industrial decarbonisation.
• Build relationships with Industries, Ministries, SMEs, state governments, international agencies, MSME organisations, educational institutions, associations, and communities we work with projects related to industrial decarbonisation.
• Bring knowledge of industrial processes, abatement technologies, and energy needs to help develop a targeted strategy to accelerate systems change within the industrial sector. Assess the most promising levers of change and design projects and research to maximise progress.
• Coordinate with govt agencies, experts, civil society on qualitative data collection and stakeholder consultations on industrial decarbonisation.
• Communicating research findings in diverse formats suitable for stakeholders in government, private and non-government sectors, with a focus on influencing policy and practice in industrial decarbonisation.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree with a specialisation in Engineering/Environment Science/Management/Economics/ or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in industrial decarbonisation.
• Strong understanding of the industrial sector, policy frameworks, and issues in the transition towards a more sustainable industry sector.
• Experience in conducting research, data analysis, and preparing reports related to industrial decarbonisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences related to industrial decarbonisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and build relationships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in the industrial sector.
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances in industrial decarbonisation projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Knowledge of GIS, statistical analysis, or other technical tools is desirable but not required.
• Commitment to CEED’s mission and values, including a dedication to environmental sustainability and social justice.
