About Dewang Mehta Kaushalya Kendra:

Dewang Mehta Kaushalya Kendra is dedicated to the empowerment of women through tech-led skill development and sustainable income generation programs. Located in Umreth taluka of Anand district in Gujarat, the center aims to provide comprehensive training and support to women from marginalized backgrounds, enabling them to enhance their skills, pursue entrepreneurial ventures, and achieve financial independence.

 

Job Description:

As the Center Head, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing all aspects of Dewang Mehta Kaushalya Kendra. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of women empowerment and skill development programs focused on sustainable income generation. This role requires strong leadership, program management skills, and a passion for women's empowerment and community development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Design, implement, and manage various tech-led skill development and income generation programs tailored to the needs of youth and women in the community.

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of trainers, coordinators, and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the center and the successful delivery of programs.

• Community Outreach and Partnerships: Build strong relationships with local communities, government bodies, and NGOs. Promote the center’s programs and services.

• Livelihood Oriented Collaborations: Explore partnerships for placement opportunities and with corporates and other stakeholders to provide market linkages for women and their products.

• Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact and effectiveness of programs, and utilize data for continuous improvement.

• Resource Mobilization: Identify funding opportunities and engage in fundraising activities to sustain and expand the center's operations.

• Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee budget planning, financial reporting, and resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization of funds and compliance with financial regulations.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of activities, prepare periodic reports, and communicate progress and achievements to stakeholders and donors.

• Student Engagement and Support: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Mentor and guide students in their skill development journey. Monitor student progress and address any challenges.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, development studies, business administration, or related field with minimum 3-4 years of work experience.

• Proven experience in program management, preferably in the field of women empowerment, skill development, rural development or community development.

• Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in team management, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement.

• Experience of working with Self-Help-Groups

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.

• Sound knowledge of financial management, budgeting, marketing and fund raising.

• Fluency in English and Gujarati (both written and spoken), knowledge of Hindi would be an advantage.

• Passion for empowering women, communities and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
