Centre Lead – AbhiKIDS Care Centre Program

Position Summary

The Centre Lead – Greater Noida will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the AbhiKIDS Care Centre in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, ensuring it functions as a safe, engaging, and impactful space for underprivileged children. The ideal candidate should have experience in early childhood and remedial education, be familiar with digital learning and special education methodologies, and demonstrate leadership in managing centre operations and staff. The role requires passion, innovation, and a deep commitment to empowering underprivileged children and their families.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Curriculum & Pedagogy Development:

  • Design and implement an inclusive, child-friendly curriculum aligned with NCERT’s Foundational Literacy & Numeracy Framework.
  • Develop structured lesson plans, remedial education modules, and vocational training curricula for adolescents and school dropouts.
  • Develop special education methodologies to cater to children with learning disabilities and diverse needs.
  • Integrate digital education tools for interactive, technology-enabled learning.
  • Integrate socio-emotional learning into teaching methodologies.

 

Teacher & Learning Delivery:

  • Conduct daily interactive sessions for children, ensuring engaging and participatory learning in alignment with the curriculum.
  • Implement remedial education strategies to support school reintegration for dropouts.
  • Design and oversee early childhood education interventions for children aged 3-6 years.
  • Introduce foundational literacy & numeracy strategies for first-generation learners.
  • Development modules on play-based learning, trauma-informed education, and multi-grade teaching methods.
  • Monitor and assess individual learning progress, adapting lesson plans accordingly.

 

 

Centre Operations & Management

  • Ensure the smooth and safe functioning of the Care Centre.
  • Supervise staff, caregivers, and volunteers, ensuring adherence to child safety and education standards.
  • Oversee daily operations, including attendance tracking, nutrition programs, and hygiene practices.

 

Community & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Conduct parental awareness sessions on the importance of education and child rights.
  • Conduct home visits to encourage school enrolment and active parental participation.
  • Work closely with local government bodies, law enforcement, and school authorities for student referrals and program expansion.
  • Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and healthcare professionals to provide holistic child development support.

 

Program Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track learning outcomes and program impact.
  • Conduct baseline assessments and periodic evaluations of student progress.
  • Maintain documentation and prepare reports for donors, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.

 

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in education, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of teaching experience, preferably in underprivileged, urban poor, or migrant community settings.
  • Strong familiarity with digital education tools, special education strategies, and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Experience in centre management, parental outreach, and community engagement.
  • Fluency in Hindi and English (additional regional languages are a plus).
  • Knowledge of government education policies (NEP 2020, FLN framework, NIPUN Bharat Mission).
  • Expertise in child-centered pedagogies, trauma-informed education, and gender-sensitive teaching methodologies.
  • Prior experience in working with law enforcement, municipal schools, or urban slum communities is a plus.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Program design & implementation in the education sector.
  • Teacher training and instructional design experience.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and community engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging urban settings with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in English & Hindi (knowledge of regional languages is an advantage)

 

Working Conditions

This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to be in the office for at least 2-3 days a week. Occasional travel may be required for program-related activities and events.
