ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY

Consultant GAP will be responsible for providing agricultural extension services to project framers regularly and

motivate them to adapt the Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for improved quality & yield of their produce. The Consultant in close coordination with the GAP Extension Officer and GAP associate will support the GAP activities in mint and potato crop from the allotted villages and registered farmers with Shubh Mint project.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

• Assist GAP Associate in identifying new villages and provide support in farmers registration within the different locations under the project.
• Facilitate in conducting awareness programs through village level meetings.
• Facilitate soil testing and recommend the correct use of fertilizer and pesticide doses.
• Facilitating trainings to farmers related to the benefits available to them under various Government Schemes.
• Assist the GAP Associate on Motivating the project farmers for collective marketing through the FPC’s.
• Updating data on Activity Info App
• Must Have knowledge of potato, paddy and mint farming
• Other task as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma/Intermediate in Science/ Graduate Agriculture
• Minimum 1 year experience in prior agriculture field preferred.
• Basic Knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, excel), Internet, Online Form Filling.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of English and good knowledge of Local Language.
• Must possess an android phone and a valid driving License.

Timeframe of project. It is anticipated that the scope of work assignment for 75 days.
