Overview
Access to Justice for Children (A2J) is one of the world’s largest legal intervention programs led by civil society organizations to ensure that crimes against children don’t go unpunished and the survivors receive proper rehabilitation and mental health support to get back to normalcy.
Access to Justice aims to end child exploitation across India by creating a child protection ecosystem that prevents crimes against children and fights for justice for survivors and their families. The program strives to bring behaviour and systemic change required for a lasting sustainable impact on child protection issues - child marriage, child trafficking, child labor, and child sexual abuse including online incidents through legal deterrence and awareness generation.
In order to implement the Access to Justice’ programme, we are looking for a Coordinator – Grant Management, who will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of project grant in accordance with the project document and work plan. Coordinator – Grant Management will contribute to Access to Justice Programme team to prevent and respond to protection issues, especially the ending child marriage, child labour and child trafficking, child sexual abuse, developing effective strategies, partnerships and generating evidence. Coordinator – Grant Management will have the following responsibilities:
Key functions/Responsibilities
- Coordinate with partners and provide handholding support as per Awards Management procedures
- Ensure all key documents (MoU, Governance Policies, Financial Reports, Narrative Reports etc) are filed and updated accordingly
- Track and monitor deadlines for grantee reporting; Review and assess reporting from grantees; Administer, verify, initiate and monitor payment requests.
- Ensure compliance with governance policies; Maintain and update grant database; Assess potential extensions and revisions of grant agreements
- Undertake activity monitoring and evaluation and prepare periodic project progress reports
- Monitor and report achievement on project milestones and develop and implement technical solutions, as required.
- Supervise the activities of Project Officers vis-à-vis the NGO partner engagement on regular basis.
- Oversee implementation of the programme activities through the Project Officers in close coordination with Line Manager.
- Establish strong relations with partner NGOs to influence decisions related to programme activities.
- Work with relevant colleagues to ensure relevant donor requirements are effectively communicated and understood by implementing partners
- Establish effective communication and networking with partner organizations.
- Any other task as assigned by the Management
Educational Qualification
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Management, Finance, Law, Social Sciences, Public Administration or any other related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in grant and partnership management
- Excellent drafting skills – both English and Hindi or any other languages.
- Excellent knowledge of laws relating to child rights and protection.
- Experience working in national and international organizations is highly desirable.
