Job Description

The role of the DGM - CSR would involve conceptualizing, developing, strategizing and executing CSR initiatives and ensuring that these are aligned with SKF’s purpose, values and short and long business objectives while contributing positively to the society and the environment and also assist in managing SKF’s relationships with wide range of external stakeholders ensuring SKF’s interests are well represented. The major facets of the position are inclusive of, but not limited to – Executive Leadership, Program Development & Implementation, Stakeholder Mapping, Coordination & Engagement, Resource Optimization & Management, Compliance & Risk Management, Processes & Governance Structuring, Data Collation & Analytics, Documentation & Reporting, Repository Management, Budget Management, Effective Communication & Presentation, Program Monitoring & Evaluation, Conflict Management & Dispute Resolution, Controversy Management & Damage Control, SOP Development, Policy Mining & Interpretation.

Job Responsibilities

CSR

  • Conceptualizing, developing, and implementing SKF’s CSR strategy including setting of directions, goals/ objectives, and key performance indicators.
  • Identifying local and regional CSR priorities, aligning them with SKF’s global CSR framework.
  • Seeking out innovative approaches to CSR that can differentiate SKF and drive positive social and environmental change.
  • Organizing and participating in community care/ service initiatives,  charity events,  and volunteer opportunities that support the SKF’s CSR strategy.
  • Mapping and engaging with communities and stakeholders to build grassroot support and reputation for SKF
  • Making data-driven analytical leadership decisions on various aspects for swift initiation and continuous improvement.
  • Managing CSR activities from planning to implementation, ensuring they meet predefined goals/ objectives.
  • Engaging/ coordinating with various stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, communities, NGO’s and government bodies to build, nurture and maintain positive relationships and ensuring their alignment with SKF’s CSR initiatives.
  • Collaborating with industry/ trade associations on common social initiatives.
  • Exploring and establishing partnerships/ collaborations with other organizations enhancing and amplifying CSR efforts.
  • Overseeing the assessment of the SKF’s environmental and social impacts and developing plans to mitigate negative impacts and enhance positive contributions.
  • Collecting and maintaining accurate records, reports, and repository related to CSR activities.
  • Analyzing data related to CSR efforts and preparing reports in standardized formats to measure the impact including social return on investment for further sharing with all stakeholders.
  • Developing and managing external communication strategies along with Corporate Communications to promote SKF’s reputation for its social equity.
  • Developing and managing internal communication strategies along with Corporate Communications to keep the employees well informed and engaged on various CSR programs.
  • Crafting and disseminating CSR related content through various channels, social media, and annual reports to enhance transparency and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure that CSR activities are integrated with the broader corporate strategy.
  • Ensuring the SKF’s adherence to all relevant CSR regulations and standards and reporting requirements.
  • Managing the budget and resource allocation efficiently and effectively for optimal utilization.
  • Assessing and working with suppliers and vendors ensuring their adherence to CSR principles.
  • Driving sustainability initiatives across CSR programs and measuring the change value.
  • Conducting training and awareness programs for employee engagement encouraging their active involvement.
  • Staying informed about global CSR trends and standards to ensure SKF’s remains competitive and responsible on global scale.
  • Assessing and identifying potential risks particularly those related to regulatory compliance and reputational risk and formulating a risk mitigation plan.
  • Performing any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate manager consistent with the purpose of this role.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum qualification of Doctorate’s/ master’s degree in social work/ CSR/ Sustainability.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in social service, program management and dealing with government agencies.
  • Strong understanding of regulations and trends and community dynamics in India and Southeast Asia.
  • Excellent communication – written and spoken, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation skills for reviews and progress tracking.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and the ability to promote responsible business practices and corporate ethics.
