Job Description

RTI is hiring a Financial Analyst for the USAID-funded Task Order Technical Support for South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP) activity. This position will be based in New Delhi, India

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide research related support to the team on areas pertaining to clean energy financing, electric mobility, public private partnerships, financing instruments like green bonds, InvITs, blended financing instruments etc,
  • Develop analytical and insightful reflections after undertaking secondary research of publicly available reports as well as subscribed databases.
  • Create financial models for clean energy technologies and investment mobilisation initiatives of SAREP.
  • Conducting Data driven research at the country (South Asia and beyond), sector or company level.
  • Creating relevant data insights as per client needs with requisite level of data visualizations.
  • Maintain Database(s) related to energy, infrastructure, investment flows, emissions etc. from varied data sources.
  • Preparing presentations, excel analysis, concept notes and relevant reports.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, engineering, Economics, or other quantitative/related field
  • Experience in areas pertaining to power sector/clean energy sector (renewable energy, e-mobility, energy efficiency etc.), /government regulations and other upcoming sustainability segments pertaining to decarbonization.
  • 3-5 years of experience in areas pertaining to research and data analysis
  • Strong secondary research skills with excellent written and communication skills
  • Preference will be given to candidates well versed in clean energy financing, public private partnerships, analysis of financial statements, investments financing instruments like green bonds, Invits, credit guarantees, alternative investment funds, blended financing instruments
  • Past experience of developing financial models, preferably in clean energy space
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, power point and excel) is essential
  • Experience in locating, processing and managing data. Additional programming skills like web scraping, working with APIs is desirable
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members and cross-functional teams
  • Motivated and able to work under challenging and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload, self-manage and complete tasks to best meet project needs.
