About Kerala Startup Mission
KSUM is the State Nodal Government Agency that support the startup ecosystem by means of building or connecting different components such as Infrastructure, Incubators and Accelerators, Industry collaboration,R&D connect and Institutional linkages, Skilled Talent creation, Funding, Government Support, International Collaborations, Scaling Existing and Establishing New Incubators/accelerators and build up a model for moving fast from ideas to IPO/Unicorns.
Position Overview
The Accounts Intern will assist the Finance & Accounts team in day-to-day accounting, financial documentation, and statutory compliance. The internship provides practical exposure to accounting processes, data entry in Tally, MIS data preparation, and statutory compliance data preparation.
Area of exposure
- Assist in maintaining accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Maintain files and records related to finance and accounts.
- Receipt and imprest preparation and maintenance.
- Tally data entry for receipts.
- Assist in preparing GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance documents.
- Assist during internal, statutory, and government audits by compiling required documents.
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial documentation and approvals.
- Perform data entry, spreadsheet preparation, and financial analysis as assigned.
- Carry out any other finance and accounts-related work assigned by the reporting officer.
Educational Qualification
- B. Com Regular (including freshers).
Experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Familiarity with Tally is desirable.

- Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and work in a team.
- Learning Outcomes: During the internship, the candidate will gain exposure to:
- Practical accounting and bookkeeping.
- GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Audit documentation and compliance processes.
- ERP/Tally-based accounting systems.
Duration
- 6 months (Extendable up to 1 year upon requirement)
