Job Description

ICRW is seeking a Junior Research Consultant to support this study. The consultant will work closely with the Senior Research Consultant and the ICRW team to carry out research activities on the ground.

Job Responsibilities

The Junior Research Consultant will:

• Support coordination of data collection activities in Jharkhand
• Assist in data collection
• Maintain detailed field notes and documentation
• Support the transcription and review of interviews
• Assist in organizing and coding qualitative data
• Contribute to the development of the research report
• Attend regular project meetings

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., sociology, social work, gender studies, public policy, political science, or related disciplines)
• 4 to 5 years of experience in research, preferably on gender equality, GBV, or development issues
• Familiarity with qualitative research methods
• Fluency in Hindi; working knowledge of English
• Prior experience working in Jharkhand (preferred)
• Ability to travel within Jharkhand
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
