POSITION - MANAGER - HR
PLACE: VASANT KUNJ, NEW DELHI
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management, a minimum of 5 years of experience managing HR operations in a for-profit or non-profit agency, experience setting up and/or working on an HRMS, and proven skills in HR analytics using MS Excel.
What would you be expected to do?
Support the recruitment of staff and consultants, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, resolve ESI/EPFO compliance/grievances, maintain HRMS and personnel files, support the issue/renewal of staff contracts, coordinate staff insurance, assist in conducting special events/functions/trainings, and support the Director of Human Resources in facilitating organizational development activities.
Key Job Responsibilities
Develop/redefine and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals, values, and legal requirements.
Lead the recruitment process and ensure smooth hiring procedures
Manage the employee induction (offer letter, issue of contracts, KYS,) onboard orientation, and Exit process
Provide support to the Administration Department on staff grievances and other HR issues, as and when required
Collaborate with the Admin and finance department for procurements to negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for HR-related services.
Partner with managers and employees to address performance issues and develop performance appraisal and improvement plans
Provide guidance and support to managers on compensation and benefits matters.
Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement of salary and Payslips
Oversee the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to employees.
Assess and identify training needs of employees and implement/recommend for need-based training programs
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
Stay up-to-date with HR developments and best practices
Work with the finance department to manage the positions, HR budget and to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll including allowances and staff benefits.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations related to HR, such as ESI and EPFO Challans, tax regulations and accounting standards.
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations related to HR purchases
Conducting investigations related to employee complaints, grievances, safeguarding concerns or disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing recommendations for resolution.
Participate in legal proceedings related to HR matters, such as litigation, arbitration, or mediation.
Extend support for other organizational activities as needed, contributing to various projects and initiatives.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Master’s - MSW HR or MBA HR preferably in the age group of 40 - 50 years
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Wast experience and knowledge of ESI /EPFO compliances
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
- Strong ability to deal with a large volume of work, prioritize work assignments, organize own schedule, perform routine work independently, meet deadlines and adapt to constantly changing demands
- Strong ability to work effectively in a multicultural team with sensitivity and respect for diversity. Ability to work as a team member with other staff at all levels, etc. Ability to act with tact, diplomacy, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and gender sensitivity.
- Excellent understanding and innate passion for working in the social sector; strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of the poor and disadvantaged groups
- Good negotiation, influencing skills; good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Willing to travel extensively as required for work requirements and flexibility to attend meetings out of normal working hours
- Language skills: Proficiency in English & Hindi
