Manager - Impact

Role:

 

Magic Bus is committed to using data to improve programme efficiency and effectiveness. To this end, the organization has an independent Impact vertical that is accountable for the measurement of results, and several technical partners who help ensure objective and rigorous evaluations.

 

You will lead and enable evaluations contributing to review of programmes and establishing proof of concept of the Magic Bus programme both in the Life Skills and Adolescent education space. In doing so, you will enable strengthening of the programme and improved impact of the organization. You will Monitoring, evaluation

 

Specific Responsibilities:

• Providing overall leadership to Monitoring, evaluation and learning function at state level for the government partnership programme
• Mapping of state specific MEL requirements and ensure customised reporting and system
• Developing and rolling out innovative and rigorous MEL frameworks, tools and system to capture accurately the change that Magic Bus enables
• Managing technology backed MIS and ensure rigorous analysis and feedback at all levels
• Supporting and mentoring all the staff across the state on MEL related work
• keep track of all MEL related tasks and ensure timely completion
• Lead on design, execution and leveraging of evaluations of key Magic Bus programmes
• Keep track of MEL budget and ensure justified use of the resources
• Supporting the Fundraising and Communications team in the use of credible data (both primary and secondary)
• Manage projects and partnerships both internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and facilitate the development of concept notes/ papers for internal and external audiences

Qualification and Experience (essential unless otherwise stated):

• A background in Social Sciences with experience in MEL, with a strong and demonstrated interest in evaluations
• Minimum 4- 5 years of experience in in organizations working on education/life skill/ gender etc
• Proven ability to work on program data with rigour and accuracy
• Proven ability in conducting and facilitating Program evaluation with experimental/ quasi – experimental design.
• Proven ability to use app-based data collection tools to monitor and evaluate program
• Proficiency in at least one statistical analysis software such as SPSS or SAS to analyze data and present the results.
• Good knowledge on Advanced Excel
• Proven ability to write high quality narrative reports based on quantitative and qualitative results
• Proven ability to mentor and facilitate learning among team members
• Proven ability to manage complex internal and external relationships
• Graduate / Post graduate in any of the social sciences from a reputed institute.
