We work with 10,000 young people a year through our two innovation labs – After School Life Skills Programme and Career Connect Programme; we have trained over 6,728 teachers/educators from 191 partners impacting over 1,68,200 children and young people, engage over 1.2 million young people through a state government partnership and have scaled our work across India and Kenya through our unique Life Skills Development model. We work on a strong collaborative approach with local charities, corporates, volunteers, governments, expert consultants and as hosts for national and international strategic partners. Role: Manager – Strategic Partnerships

Job Responsibility

 The primary responsibility includes – Collaboratively executing the partnerships function to build urgency and criticality on the importance of life skills in the ecosystem. By developing strategic partnerships and leading the organisation's advocacy efforts, build a movement to equip millions of young people from vulnerable backgrounds to overcome adversity and thrive in the 21st century. Roles and responsibilities (include scope, accountability, goals to be achieved by the role, and people management)

 Execute Dream a Dream’s strategy with its partnership with the Government of Uttarakhand in implementing and executing the projects involved.

 Anchor in the areas of Curriculum Development, Training, Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Media, Research & Impact Evaluation and Project Reporting.

 Visualize and strategize on the expansion of the projects on a larger scale.

 Risk management of projects: Lead the development and maintenance of risk management plans for all key projects.

 Deliver workshops and sessions for relevant stakeholders through online and offline media.

 Work with the Anandam Pathyacharya team to create tools for need analysis, classroom observations, and data collection.

 Documentation of observations and other meetings in School visits, Research and others related to the project.

 Coordinate with the internal teams to create different types of Life Skill and SEL based content.

 Participate in learning and debrief sessions, to enhance the quality of delivery of the Dream A Dream’s workshops.  Understand impact assessment of the workshops and improve the quality of training.

 Coordinate with and support the external stakeholders (NGOs, research agencies and Government) to build a life skills focused approach in their work.

 Interact with government officials and other government stakeholders.

 Provide support to the internal teams in research and M&E work as well as build an ecosystem premised on a life skills approach.

 Contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational goals set by the organization.  Skills:  Expertise in project management is highly recommended.

 Prior engagement with young people and experience in education, skills or training facilitation space is highly recommended.

 Experience in facilitation, Data collection, observation and Project management.

 Field level understanding and exposure of government interaction along with managing Government projects.

 Strong spoken and written communication and articulation skills. Fluency in English and Hindi and other Indian languages are a must.

 Ability to travel to different parts of the country (towns and villages) at a short notice, in post-Covid era.

 Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, ability to analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data, craft possible solutions and recommend actions.

 Strong desire for excellence and consistent drive to improve and learn.

 Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

 Sustained passion and commitment to bringing a positive change in society.

 Full of positivity and optimism and doesn’t get bogged down by challenges.

 Deep sense of empathy and compassion for the people. General Responsibilities

 Develop linkages with national and local media actors and with policy institutions

 Contribute to the achievement of strategic goals set by the organization

 Participate in strategic planning, annual planning and budgeting process for the organization

 Develop strategies to keep team members engaged in outreach efforts

 Work with a small team, you would also be required to multitask between roles, as and when required by the organization for the furtherance of its goals.

Experience

 8 - 10 years of working in schools in leadership roles and experience working in the Education sector, preferably Socio-Emotional Learning and Life Skills.

 Prior field experience in government schools is recommended.
