Job purpose:

 

The Manager- Digital Engagement is responsible for driving the digital strategy and overseeing the implementation of digital initiatives to enhance the organization's branding, visibility, and fundraising. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for social impact, outstanding communication skills, and proven experience in digital marketing and technology. In line with Sense India's strategic plans and policy guidelines the post-holder will work under the leadership of the Head – Technology Applications in planning, implementing, and monitoring agreed objectives.

 

Sense India has a small, growing communications and fundraising team. The post holder will be an important member of this team and work closely with other team members (and consultants) including programme team.

 Key Responsibilities:

 1.    Strategy

1.1. Develop and implement a Digital engagement strategy for Sense India, which aligns with and enables the delivery of the organizational strategy and the Public Engagement strategy.

2.1. Recommend and deliver digital engagement campaigns and activities that will enhance our profile, reach new audiences, build and strengthen our partnership communities and support funding streams in order to achieve our organizational strategy.

 2.    Digital Fundraising

1.1. Lead on the development of a Sense India digital fundraising plan that supports overall fundraising goals.

2.1. Do a thorough analysis of target populations and modes of acquiring new donors through digital channels

3.1. Conceptualise and execute targeted digital fundraising campaigns using relevant and effective digital platforms

4.1. Leverage external digital fundraising/crowdfunding platforms to maximise donor acquisition

5.1. Create, update and manage content in collaboration with communications team for Sense India’s website regularly and increase engagement on the website through SEO and other available tools. 

6.1. Produce accurate, consistent and powerful copy and content for use on various channels and drives engagement and supports fundraising.

7.1. Explore, engage and collaborate with relevant digital influencers to increase supporter base.

 3.    General

1.1. Develop and manage a database of supporters and partners for targeted communications and enhance engagement for fundraising.

2.1. Work within agreed income and expenditure budgets, being accountable for all spending within agreed areas of operation.

3.1. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns against KPIs.

4.1. Stay informed on the latest trends in digital marketing and technology.

5.1. Undertake any task within the post holder’s skills and abilities as may be requested from time to time

6.1. Any other work as agreed with the Line Manager

Person Specification

  • Graduation and above with additional degree/ certificate or diploma in Digital Marketing/ digital fundraising.
  • At least 3-5 years of proven experience in similar position in NGO/ INGO
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Excellent storytelling skills with fluency in written and spoken English
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing.
  • Confident in taking initiative and exploring new opportunities.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and think proactively.
  • Conversant with relevant software related to Digital and online fundraising.
  • Ability to think creatively/ laterally
