About the Organization
The Aga Khan Education Services (AKES) is one of the largest private, not-for-profit, non-denominational educational networks in the Global South. AKES currently operates over 190 pre-primary, primary, secondary and higher secondary schools and more than 100 non-formal education programmes in diverse geographic locations in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates. Most schools offer their respective country's national curricula, with some schools in East Africa and Bangladesh also offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). AKES employs over 6,500 teachers and staff and educates over 104,700 students.
Job Description
The Marketing & Branding Specialist, along with the Central Office Communication Team and School leadership, will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives aimed at increasing student enrolment. This role involves utilizing a variety of marketing channels to attract, engage, and convert prospective students, as well as analyzing data to measure the effectiveness of these efforts.
- Identify the reasons for the disconnect between the school brand and the enrolment.
- Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns (online and offline) to attract new students.
- Organize informational sessions for prospective parents to learn about the school's programmes and facilities.
- Develop and implement parent referral programmes to encourage current parents to refer new prospective parents.
- Plan and facilitate workshops and information sessions on topics of interest to prospective families (e.g., educational philosophy, extracurricular activities).
- Track and analyze enrolment data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor the effectiveness of different outreach and marketing strategies and adjust them as needed.
- Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and staff to gather information and coordinate enrolment efforts.
- Provide support and training to staff involved in enrolment and outreach activities.
- Need based traveling to various units of AKES, India.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and conduct market research to inform strategy.
- Experience in planning, executing, and managing marketing campaigns within budget and timelines.
- Strong networking skills and ability to engage with prospective students, parents, and community partners.
- Understanding of the education sector and enrolment processes.
- Expertise in lead generation, persuasive selling techniques, and converting inquiries into enrolments.
- Hindi, Gujarati language skills will be added advantages.
