Overview of the role: -
The Data Management is a crucial function within the organization and programs, as it ensures that data is properly stored, maintained, and analyzed to support program goals. A data management officer will be a key leader within the organization, responsible for overseeing all aspects of data management and ensuring that data is properly managed to support the organization’s objectives.
Areas of Responsibilities: -
Programmatic:
- Data compilation, analysis and data management on online data management portal.
- Data processing, interpretation and report preparation.
- Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure timely completion of data entry process. Maintain protect progress data, which received from states.
- Verify data and relevant supporting documents on regular basis and communicate with partner organizations to upload, modify/amend data documents as and when required.
- Provide technical support to partner organizations based on requirement.
- Support capacity development of partner organizations for more responsive and accountable data management, through online IT based tools.
- Support in developing various reports based on the data available on the online data management platform.
- Coordinate with senior management and provide up to date project progress report from time to time.
- Any other task assigned as per programme need by the reporting officer.
Functional competencies:
- Knowledge on child rights and protection issues focusing on issues and laws relating to child trafficking, child sexual abuse, child marriage tec.
- Ability to produce high quality outputs in a timely manner while understanding and anticipating the evolving needs of senior management.
- Strong analytical, research and writing skills with demonstrated ability to think strategically.
- Core competencies:
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and proven ability to work in a multicultural setting.
- Should possess excellent qualitative and quantitative skills.
- Promotes and enforces ethics and integrity and creates precedence in good practice.
- Sharing knowledge across the organization and building a culture of knowledge sharing and learning
- Power Point and Internet surfing.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in statistics, data collection, methodologies and monitoring;
- Experience in supporting statistical capacity development for both data producers and data users such as policy-makers and development practitioners.
