CCCI Social & Development Research (CCCI SDR) is a consulting entity registered in India, the for-profit wing of CCC-I. It designs, advises and implements evidence informed, social and behavioural programs for public health and social development issues.

The Center for Communication and Change India (CCC-I), a sister organization of Johns Hopkins University/ Center for Communication Programs is known for developing evidence based communication programs to reach different segment of masses that save lives, improve health and enhance well-being of people.  CCC-I uses an integrated, comprehensive approach that combines mass media, community mobilization, interpersonal communication, advocacy, formative research and capacity building to address a range of social, development and health issues.

We require a Program Officer based in Delhi, who will work closely with the Program Team in India and other consortium partners in India & overseas.  Please note that the position involves travel to project destinations across India.

Job description

  1. Support the program team in carrying out SBCC related project activities such as – design, development and implementation of SBCC strategy, development and pre-test of communication materials, etc.
  2. Coordinate with external creative agencies/production houses to design and develop communication materials include print and audio-visuals and obtain rates of all required media as per the project SoW
  3. Work with the research team to cull out relevant research insights to feed into the SBCC strategy and material development process. This also includes participating in research activities like – secondary research, pre-testing, data collection, data analysis, etc.
  4. Support the program team in ongoing capacity building and training activities (e.g. development of capacity building schedules for short and long duration SBCC courses, development of training materials and tools, etc.)
  5. Attend client meetings with program/research team and record proceedings of such meetings
  6. Prepare project calendar and timeline for senior program/research staff
  7. Promote the CCCI and CCP initiatives in India through social media platforms
  8. Manage the social media handles of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube etc.
  9. Develop/schedule content for social media on key events, projects, impact stories etc., for promotion of content through various communication channels for different project.
  10. Knowledge management and update project activities on regular basis
  11. Assist program team in organising events like learning forums, webinars, etc.
  12. Assist in other project related assignments as and when required.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  1. Minimum qualification of Master’s degree in Public Health or Social Sciences or related fields (Communications, Social Work, Sociology, advertising & marketing, journalism etc.)
  2. Prior experience of working on SBCC projects including SBCC strategy development, planning and executing SBCC related research, working with creative agencies/production houses, etc.
  3. Skilled in using social media especially Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  4. Good writing skills in English and good knowledge of Hindi
  5. Skilled in using MS office, and knowledge of SPSS and Atlas.ti is added advantage
  6. Willing to travel to project locations in different parts of the country as per project requirement
  7. Minimum 7-10 years of experience working in the social development sector
