About the Organization

Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council was originally constituted as a department guided by a six-member advisory council with Dr. K. M. Abraham, former Chief Secretary to Government of Kerala as the Chairperson. The Council consisted of six eminent persons of repute in Science, Innovation and Technology in order to equip K-DISC to carry out the newly assigned activities of the Knowledge Mission.

Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Implementation Lead to drive the on-ground execution of STRIDE's community innovation initiatives across Kerala. This role will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing innovation centers, building community relationships, and ensuring effective implementation of programs that bridge academic institutions with community needs.

Job Responsibilities

Implementation & Coordination:

• Execute the establishment of STRIDE Innovation Centers across locations
• Coordinate between academic institutions and community organizations
• Manage day-to-day operations of living labs and innovation spaces
• Ensure smooth functioning of community programs and initiatives

Ecosystem Development:

• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders
• Facilitate connections between engineering colleges and vulnerable communities
• Coordinate with BUDS institutions and special schools
• Engage with Kudumbashree units and local self-government bodies

Program Implementation:

• Organize and conduct community engagement activities
• Facilitate problem identification workshops
• Coordinate awareness programs and community events
• Monitor program progress and gather feedback
• Document success stories and learning outcomes

Partnership Management:

• Maintain active relationships with partner institutions
• Coordinate with local government officials
• Engage with community leaders and organizations
• Facilitate academic-community partnerships

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree with First class, full time MBA/MSW/MSc in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Applied Sciences, Social Sciences or Post Graduation in Journalism, Mass Communication, Video Communication, Media Studies or B.Tech/ Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in program management/implementation
• Strong track record in community engagement
• Experience in managing multiple stakeholders

 Essential Skills :

• Excellent project coordination abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Malayalam and English
• Understanding of social innovation and community development
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships
• Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
• Comfort with extensive travel across Kerala

Salary

Rs. 30,000 - 40,000 per month (shall be fixed based on qualification and relevant experience of the selected candidate)
