About Digital Equalizer Program
Digital Equalizer (DE) is AIF’s flagship education program. It envisions a world where children from underserved communities, especially girls, are prepared for their careers and lives.
The program works to bridge India’s digital divide by integrating technology into underperforming and under-resourced public schools, training teachers in techno-pedagogy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) methodology, and transforming classrooms into collaborative and interactive learning environments.
Since its inception in 2004, the program has:
- Empowered 8.14 million children with interactive STEM experiences.
- Trained 212,585 teachers in STEM pedagogy.
- Transformed 46,596 schools across 35 states and union territories.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Program Implementation
- Work with assigned government schools within the allocated cluster.
- Conduct regular school visits to implement AI Literacy, STEM, Coding and Career Tour sessions.
- Facilitate quizzes, projects and experiential learning sessions for students.
- Ensure effective implementation of project deliverables according to project timelines and targets.
- Support schools in establishing AI/STEM clubs and innovation activities.
- Guide students in developing AI and STEM projects for exhibitions, competitions and showcase events.
- Encourage participation of girls and underserved students in AI and STEM learning activities.
- Undertake other school activities as assigned by the Project Lead.
Teacher Capacity Building
- Conduct teacher training and capacity-building sessions on AI literacy, coding and technology integration.
- Mentor and support teachers in conducting Career Tour sessions and online quiz activities.
School Coordination & Relationship Management
- Coordinate with Headmasters, teachers, School Management Committees (SMCs) and local stakeholders for smooth execution of the program.
- Plan school timetables and session schedules in consultation with school authorities.
- Build strong relationships with schools to ensure ownership and sustainability of the program.
Monitoring, Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of school visits, sessions conducted, student participation and project activities.
- Collect and manage student and school data according to organizational standards.
- Track program progress and ensure achievement of KPIs.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports with proper documentation and evidence.
- Capture photographs, testimonials, success stories and case studies from schools regularly.
Required Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, STEM, Social Work or a related field.
- Passion for education, technology and rural development.
- Basic understanding of AI, Coding, STEM or Digital Literacy programs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in the local language and English.
- Ability to work independently in rural field locations.
- Good documentation, reporting and data-management skills.
- Experience in teacher training, NGO projects or school programs will be an added advantage.
Salary
Salary shall be commensurate with experience.
