Job Responsibilities

Coordination and Implementation support to the State functionaries for achieving targets of NQAS, LaQshya, MusQan, Kayakalp through:

  • Report to the State Nodal Officer- QA, while providing overall technical assistance to the state, divisions and districts.
  • Support the state with implementation of National Quality Assurance Standards and other endeavours for improving the quality of care at public health facilities.
  • Technical support in capacity building of Divisional, District level Nodal Officers, etc for NQAS, LaQshya, MusQan, Kayakalp.
  • Supportive supervision and monitoring visits to districts and public health facilities.
  • Support in planning and implementation of activities for achieving state targets for quality interventions.
  • Technical Assistance to districts in operationalization of districts Quality Assurance Units
  • Facilitate empanelment of NQAS external assessors and quality trainers.
  • Facilitate conduct of the internal and external audits.
  • Support the State to achieve the NHM conditionality targets for quality including NQAS and LaQshya.
  • Work in coordination with the State Quality Team.
  • Any other responsibility related to Quality allotted by reporting authority/s

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • MPH / MHA with at least 3 years of experience (Essential)
  • Certified External NQAS / NABH / NABL Assessor (Desirable)
  • Experience on assignments, resulting in certification/accreditation of hospitals to a recognized quality system such as NQAS, LaQshya, ISO 9001/ NABH/ JCI/ NABL. etc
  • Experience of working with national / state government, NGO/CBO will be preferable
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.

  • Technical knowledge and expertise
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Assurance Program.
  • Ability to work with a team of professionals from diverse backgrounds and working with government and non-government agencies.
  • Familiarity with the functioning of state and national government agencies and non-government organizations.
  • Experience in working in coordination with multiple partners in public health program implementation on the ground.
  • Management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Openness to change and ability to receive/integrate feedback.
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and report on work.
  • Skills in facilitation and coordination, and demonstrated ability to work independently;
  • Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards.
  • Positive, constructive attitude to work.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Builds and maintains constructive relationships with colleagues; treats people with respect; is cooperative, supportive, and helpful with a positive contribution to the working environment.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in the local language of the respective state for which the application is being submitted
  • Fluency in Hindi and English
