Relations (Advocacy) Manager

Basic Profile:

The Relations Manager will be primarily responsible for engagement and coordination with all the government and non-government stakeholders related to various objectives and activities under the project while also contributing to the overall of the program.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Engaging with the government departments at the district and state level such as Agriculture, Women and Chile Development, Panchayat, Forest or any other and developing working relation with officials at various level.
• Mapping out various relevant existing schemes, programs, policies of Chhattisgarh Government and trying to bring about convergence with the activities of the project.
• Ensuring involvement of the government functionaries at various levels during the implementation of the program
• Coordinate with Govt. stakeholders for workshops, trainings and exposure visits to be organized as a part of the project.
• Studying various successful initiatives related to millets of other state governments and trying to bring about policy changes, new initiatives in Chhattisgarh through government machinery to ensure higher inclusion of millets.
• Coordinating with non-government agencies like businesses, entrepreneurs, and customers.
• Other work that may be assigned as per organizational needs.

Skills we are looking for.

• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Skill to work with multiple stakeholders, managing diverse expectations at the same time ensuring core objectives of the project are achieved.
• Ability to analyze policy documents, guidelines and draft concept notes, policy suggestions, budgets.
• Proficiency in Hindi and English. The ability to understand and draft communication in official Hindi language will be highly preferred. (written and spoken)
• Documentation skills and proficiency with computers and Office tools.

Required Qualification and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience of working in development sector, especially experience of working/ liaising with government in livelihood-based projects is preferred.
• Postgraduate in Social Work, Rural Development, Rural Management, Social Entrepreneurship, MBA, or any other relevant field.

Candidates with other qualifications but strong relevant experience and profile will also be considered.
