Job Description

Ahmedabad University is seeking highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Research Scientist II. The position is available for a duration of one year (may extend max up to three years based on the candidate’s performance) under the supervision of Professor Ashutosh Kumar. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a PhD degree to contribute to research in the field of nano science and technology.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and execute experiments relevant to the project.
• Analyse and interpret various sets of experimental data.
• Draft and publish manuscripts for research publication and prepare grant proposals for research funding.
• Provide guidance and training to incoming PhD scholars and undergraduate students.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• PhD from a reputed University/Institute with an outstanding publications record in high-impact factor peer-reviewed journals.

Essential

• Extensive research background in Nanobiotechnology or at the intersection of materials and biology.
• Proficient in cell culture practices and molecular biology techniques.
• Strong proficiency in scientific writing for research papers and grant writing.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• An enthusiastic and fast learner.

Desirable

• Preference will be given to researchers with hands-on experience in in vitro and in vivo models.
• Experience in Flow cytometry, Microscopy, and Immunological experiments.
